Housing

Daniel Boone Community Action Agency offers comprehensive homeownership services for low-income families in our four county service area made up of Clay, Jackson, Laurel, and Rockcastle Counties.  We not only arrange for and manage the construction of our homes, but also finance them, developing unique financing options which make our homes affordable for low-income families.  The cost of each new home or home repair is subsidized based on the borrower’s income.  Interest rates vary from 1-6% and monthly house payments, taxes, and insurance will not exceed 29% of a family’s monthly income.

Applications are accepted for the Housing Program year round at any DBCAA office location in Clay, Jackson, Laurel and Rockcastle Counties.  Federal income guidelines must be met.  Please contact your local DBCAA office in the county in which you live to make an appointment and for additional information about the Housing Program.
