Tenant Based Rental Assistance

About TBRA

The Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) program helps eligible households with rent and/or security deposits and utility deposits to support safe, stable housing. This program is available to low-income and fixed-income households who are experiencing housing instability and need help securing a new residence.

*Utility deposit assistance is available only when provided with security deposit assistance.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the TBRA program, applicants must meet the following guidelines:

Must be homeless or facing eviction from their current residence
Must meet home income eligibility guidelines
Must not have moved into the residence prior to receiving assistance from Daniel Boone Community Action Agency
The residence must pass an Nspire inspection

DBCAA’s TBRA program is available in Clay, Jackson, Laurel, and Rockcastle Counties.
